About me
When I first started teaching Chinese, it was more of an experiment for me than a conscious choice. However, over time, I realized that passing on knowledge is not just a job but a true art form. Over the years, I have had the privilege of teaching a wide range of students: from children taking their first steps in learning Chinese to adults studying the language for their careers. I’ve worked with musicians, helped contractors, and taught online students in Shanghai — each new experience broadened my horizons and taught me how to adapt my teaching methods to different needs. Once, a Chinese student came to me wanting to learn Russian, and this challenge gave me a fresh perspective on the language learning process.
Currently, I teach schoolchildren from grades 2 to 8, and I try not only to teach them Chinese but also to immerse them in its culture and history. For me, this language is not just a collection of characters and grammatical rules, but a whole world with its own philosophy, traditions, and unique way of thinking. I aim to instill in my students not just knowledge, but also an understanding of the mentality of the Middle Kingdom, making the learning process truly engaging.
